Alentejo Open
The very first chapter of NBDG-X Alentejo Open saw the light in 2025 when it became one stop on the NBDG On The Road event series. The first event was quite a small one, but it was also a start for something bigger. In 2026 we are extending the cooperation with Peregrine Disc Golf Course and this event will be again part of the NBDG On The Road. Bigger and better? Well, that is always the goal.

PEREGRINE DISC GOLF COURSE
Peregrine Disc Golf Course is located in the beautiful small town of São Luis, in the Alentejo region of Portugal. Course is established in 2022 and it has 18 holes with two layout options. The course offers nice elevations, added with tight gaps between eucalyptus and cork trees. Of course, some more open fairways can be found there.
GOOD TO KNOW
What to do in Portugal?
Well, play disc golf. That's obvious. In addition to all disc golf related events we have to offer, Alentejo region is an amazing destination for everyone. The nature in Portugal is absolutely beautiful - fantastic beaches, big mountain areas, a lot of green forests, spectacular coast lines with big rock formations... All this added to unique Portuguese cuisine, friendly people and attractive tourist destinations makes this trip "a must go experience". We are currently planning some optional activities during the event weeks, but of course you can make your own trip. Some ideas can be found from Visit Alentejo website.
Where and how to travel?
Portugal's main aiport, Lisbon airport, is located about 180 kilometers north from Peregrine course and several European airlines are flying there. Other options would be flying to Faro (in Algarve, 150 km from the course) or to Sevilla (in Spain, 350 km away). Public transport options are quite limited in this area and we highly recommend arriving by (rental) car.
Where to stay?
We are trying to get some good offers from local accommodation services, you will be informed when we have something.
