New sponsor, new bag, new putter and tournaments all over Europe
Natural Born Disc Golfer in Germany with Antonia Faber
At the end of 2018, the Finnish Team Natural Born Disc Golfer (NBDG) called for applicants to their team. I met Team Manager Marika the first time at Berlin Open 2015, next time there 2016 and again at Tyyni 2018. Tyyni organized by NBDG was the biggest event I attended so far. And let me say, they did a phenomenal job, getting 800 disc golf crazy people out there to Sipoo in Finland. Organizing such a huge event takes a lot of time, commitments and especially a great team. And I want to be part of that team, help growing the sport here in Germany and spreading the knowledge of what NBDG is doing for the European disc golf scene. And guess what, now I am! So excited to be part of TEAM NBDG in 2019.
So the first thing I had to do, is switch my bag and all in to Trilogy. The bag was found quite fast. I decided to go with the new version of the Dynamic Discs H2O Ranger bag. Since I travel a lot with that bag, it needed to be stable and provide a lot of room.
Going through my discs, I realized, that I did not have to change much. Throwing the Sinus, Anchor, River, River Pro and lots of Halo Airs, I was already good equipped. But, the main change, that had to be worked out was getting new PUTTERS! After testing around a bit, I decided to go with the Westside Shield in BT Soft. It is a straight to stable putter with a nice glide. The most important thing though is the grippyness of the disc, which even keeps its grip in rainy conditions. I rounded up my bag by adding a Sheriff and some Explorers.
NBDG is spreading the joy of disc golf all over Europe. There are several big tournaments lined up already, and more will come during the year.
NBDG is starting the season in Italy with the NBDG TUSCANY OPEN (4.-7.4.2019). There are still spots open, if you like to join.
The most known tournaments 2019 will be TYYNI 2019 (24.-30.6.2019) in Sipoo, Finland. The biggest event in Europe just added an additional course, to increase the possible No. of attendance to 1028 players.
2019 season will be rounded up with a tournament in Spain the FUENGIROLA OPEN (30.10.-3.11.2019). The registration started on the 10th of February.
Hope to see you on one or more of these tournaments. I am definitely excited for the upcoming season and can‘t wait to work the courses around Europe with my new equipment.
